The Forest Observation with Remote Sensing Technologies (FOReST) research group, located in the University of Canterbury’s School of Forestry. The research group was founded in 2018 by Professor Justin Morgenroth. Today, the group is co-directed by Professor Justin Morgenroth and Senior Lecturer Dr. Cong (Vega) Xu.
The FOReST research group has members from around the globe working towards post-doctoral, doctoral (PhD), masters, or bachelors qualifications. We work collaboratively within our group and with a wide range of partners to advance the science and application of remote sensing technologies, geospatial information science, and sustainable forest management.
